This novel is the fourth installment of the Lara and Uri series by Jack Winnick. Lara and her partner Uri are given another task to investigate the masterminds behind the recent crimes in the country.

Shoppers were moving about the Beverly Hills mall doing their thing when the atmosphere suddenly changed as a group of terrorists invaded, killing many civilians. Sometime later, these same terrorists infiltrated the Chase Manhattan and Federal Reserve banks of the US, stealing something valuable. Lara Edmond and Uri Levin are contacted, having expertise in the field, while on vacation to investigate the issue, return the items stolen by the Iranian terrorists, and eliminate the masterminds. How precious is this item that the US government will use all its resources to retrieve? Were the investigators successful in their mission? Grab a copy of this intriguing book titled The Date Farm to find out.

The author put a lot of research into this book to deliver an exceptional plot. The use of military terminology and detailed descriptions felt like watching an action-crime movie. The author ensured that those who haven’t read the previous installments would be able to follow through with this plot. It was interesting to read about the teamwork of top security agents in the country to fight the terrorists: the CIA, the FBI, and several others.

I had no issues while reading this novel. The author ensured all characters were well-developed and made the plot suspenseful. The character that caught my interest most was Lara due to her courage and willingness to assist in whatever way possible. I noticed that Lara and Uri didn’t face many challenges from the terrorists, which I believe was due to prior experiences in similar situations. I encountered no errors while reading, evidence of its exceptional editing. I would love to rate it 5 out of 5 stars.

I recommend the book to lovers of action and crime novels. The book also contained a little of the romance genre to spice things up.
