The Kovalenko Secret by Philip L. Rettew is a thrilling book that tells an exciting story. It all begins in 1997, during a Harvard University commencement ceremony, when a professor named Isaac Blaustein notices a potentially dangerous graduate. Something terrible is about to happen, as this moment suggests. The narrative then shifts to September 11, 2001, a day on which horrible events occur in New York City. Cynthia Rubenstein, a woman, is horrified to see the Twin Towers collapse and worries that her husband could be among the dead.
 
As the narrative progresses, it becomes clear how the 9/11 events affected many people's lives, particularly Cynthia's and her daughter Jane's. As Jane gets older, she starts to wonder what actually happened to her father that day. When Cynthia becomes very ill years later, Jane urges her mother to be honest with her about her father. This results in an unexpected and poignant realization. The book also introduces a new mystery involving a significant diamond theft in Amsterdam and the mysterious Anat, who is on a secret mission.
 
I like many aspects of this book. The way the author blends invented narrative with actual occurrences is one of the things I enjoyed about The Kovalenko Secret. It gives the novel a thrilling, realistic atmosphere. The characters are compelling, particularly Jane, who is fearless and committed to learning the truth about her father. The novel moves along quickly, with fresh revelations in every chapter that pique your interest and make you want to read more.
 
I really enjoyed the way the author portrayed the characters' emotions and the 9/11 events. The author skillfully presents the scenarios, allowing you to practically experience them yourself. The novel is made even more exciting by the fact that it transports us to various locations, such as Amsterdam, where further riddles are solved.
 
I don't dislike any aspect of this book. This captivating novel piques your interest and leaves you rooting for the characters and their fates. This gripping and heartfelt story is authored by Philip L. Rettew. I didn't notice any errors while reading this book, which shows that it was exceptionally well-edited.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars for the reasons I mentioned above. I suggest The Kovalenko Secret to readers who enjoy suspenseful mysteries with a hint of emotion.
