Ukrainian MI spy Major Viktor Wolf was busy spending his time in London, shadowing a suspected smuggler when he got the order to return to Kyiv. Ukrainian generals, who were part of the intercontinental ballistic missile handling team of the now-dissolved USSR, started disappearing suddenly, and Viktor’s boss wanted him to investigate. As he follows the trails that have long since gone cold, Viktor unearths secrets capable of starting World War III. His investigation takes him from Kyiv to the Black Sea, St. Petersburg to Cape Town. What is this conspiracy that threatens to annihilate the whole northern hemisphere? Which long-buried secret is rearing its head after 30 years? Will Viktor be able to save millions of people from certain doom? Read the spy thriller
The Holocaust Conspiracy by Olena Vasylchenko to find out what secrets the generals took to their graves.
Olena paints a vivid image of modern-day Ukraine and other countries. Her expertise seems to be in capturing the essence of the cities mentioned in the book. The story proceeds at a leisurely pace rather than a neck-breaking one. While Viktor sniffs around for leads, he comes across a diverse group of people. This includes egotistical oligarchs, self-serving US lobbyists, mafia lords, corrupt military officials, radical religious leaders, and a beautiful sculptress. Romance blooms, but Viktor keeps his true identity hidden, proving his dedication to his duties. I appreciate the author’s attempt to paint an authentic picture of Ukraine and global politics without glossing over the negative aspects.
Unlike other books, this one does not have a lot of dramatic situations. The protagonist's ability to reason is more important in furthering the plot. This novel is fascinating to read because of the believable characters and situations. A glossary with pronunciation and definitions for non-English terms would have been helpful. Even though I desired a quicker plot, no deduction of points is necessary. Because of its interesting characters, evocative descriptions, romance plotline, and plausible circumstances, I give this book
5 out of 5.
I would recommend this book to older teenagers and adults. Spy thriller readers would love this book. But if you’re looking for a fast-paced, action-packed spy novel, this isn’t for you.

This spy thriller is intriguing for the plot centered arount post-USSR Urkraine, which offers a lot of ideas for an intrigue and to show the situation that led to what's happening today in the country. Thank you for your great review!

I enjoyed your review. It sounds like an exciting book. However, I usually don't read spy thrillers, so I will pass. I'm sure lovers of that genre will love it.

Based on your review, I believe that I would enjoy this book. The back drop of Ukraine, Russia, and South Africa is intriguing. The plot which includes trying to prevent World War 3 is suspenseful. The extreme characters will add more spice to the suspense of the plot. The romance is icing on the cake. Thank you for reviewing this book. I am adding it to my bookshelves.

This book is not for me. I like the plot to be fast paced and I always fear that some of the ideas are stereotypical, especially in spy stories. Your review contains many useful details for the reader. You did a good job expressing the book.

I like geopolitics and I like learning about such things. A lot has been happening in geopolitics nowadays, with so many wars starting. I hope I get to read this book because this book seems interesting. You did a good job with the review.

It sounds like a heart-racing thriller. I enjoy books that keep you on your toes wanting to taste every minute. I liked the neat but on-point descriptions in your review. It had a good rough but informative tone. Much like the sound of the book. (Or maybe the essence of it) Anyways, well done!

The Holocaust Conspiracy sounds very interesting. Victor going on a mission and the plot surrounding the USSR - Ukraine war is relatable . I love a spy thriller but a fast spaced one but your review makes me want to know more about this book so thanks for writing a detailed review.
