"Soul Seeker" by Kaylin McFarren is another fine piece of supernatural suspense in Benjamin Poe’s life as he was convicted for his alleged complicity in the murder of his son Gabriel Poe. As one of the last transformations for a protagonist, Poe reveals the grim and horrific narration of the crime that Crighton, being a demon who gathers souls, led the man toward.
Thus, Crighton continues working for the devil after Poe's death and is captured by the Sovereign Sector, which experiments on those beings. Afraid of his own powers, which were triggered when he shot an angel, Crighton is assigned to protect his soulmate target and becomes the devil’s next project. It discusses morality and power, faithfulness, and betrayal.

The opening of the book is very vivid and creates an atmosphere that makes it possible for the reader to grasp the situation Benjamin Poe is in at that particular moment in time. When speaking with his barrister, he explains that he is not particularly interested in seeking excuses for his behavior. Poe does not plead for mercy; rather, he states that he was made to commit an unthinkable act in order to protect his son from evil. The quest for solutions is very captivating due to the inclusion of crime and the supernatural. In the author's work of fiction, the most important issues such as loyalty, love, and morality are bravely examined, with all the complications that come with good and evil and preconceived notions about demonic places and moral values being turned upside down.

This book was great; I must admit there was no dull moment right from the beginning to the end, as there were no unnecessary scenes. The table of contents was also quite encouraging, for it was easy; it is full of imaginative characters, and good and evil balance is represented vividly. The book is exceptionally edited to a high standard; there was no difficulty caused by typos ruining the flow of the story, and because of this, I was quite happy to turn the pages of the book until the last one. I found no dislikes.

I wholeheartedly rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. For readers who are into heart racing fiction, the plot will definitely appeal to the readers of dark fantasy; however, it’s good to mention that the book has some sexual content and profanity; hence, it’s not appropriate for an underage audience.
