by David Brautigam is not just a book but a journey into the intricate workings of the Underworld, the Mafia, the Mob, or, if you will, the Syndicate. It's a captivating portrayal that will draw you into their world and introduce you to the hierarchy: the bosses, the lieutenants, and the foot soldiers who follow orders.
The book is a gripping tale that keeps you on the edge of your seat, focusing on the Mancini and Moralez crime families, who ruled their territories with an iron fist. The story revolves around Bobby Mancini, his father, Elliot, and his uncle, Edward, who oversee the Mancini operations. Bobby's girlfriend, Sarah, always asks him to quit the family business and leave town with her. Can it be that Bobby quits the Mob, and they live happily ever after? The book explores power, betrayal, and the brutal consequences of life in the underworld.
The book's authenticity was astounding. As an Italian with relatives with ties to the underworld, the book struck a chord with me. The narrative was unapologetically raw and brutally honest. It was filled with profanities and violence, making it unsuitable for sensitive readers. There were also remarks about certain nationalities that could be considered racist. Despite these aspects, I found nothing I did not appreciate in the book. Some of the murders were unexpected and unwanted, but such is the harsh reality for these gangsters.
The book is impeccably edited and error-free. The author's writing demonstrates his brilliance, effectively capturing the essence of the Mob. I would caution against recommending this book to young adults due to its violent and profane content. However, even with the violence and profanity mentioned above, I give this book
5 out of 5 stars. I hope that you will enjoy the book as much as I did.

I’ve wondered about what happens in the Mob. I’ve always heard that once you’re in, you’re in. There is no leaving alive, but I wonder now if that’s true. I guess I’ll have to read to find out Bobby and Sarah’s experience. Thanks!

There is nothing like a good mafia story. Your review has convinced me that this is one such book. I don't know. Can Bobby quit the mob? I have heard that there is only one way out of the mob, and it is usually involves strangulation, bullets, and cement. I have to read this book to see how Bobby fared. Yikes--"Revenge is a Must" sounds like a "must read!" Thank you for the heads-up on the excessive violence aspect--sadly, a common theme of 'mob life.' Violence aside, I look forward to taking a peek at this one! Thank you for this informative and candid appraisal.

Your review definitely makes me want to read this book! Quitting the mob never seems like an option. In the last mob story I read, the guy just got a new face with plastic surgery, so I guess that's one way out! Thanks for sharing this great review!

The book sounds interesting. I don't know much about mob life and the culture surrounding it, so I would be happy to read this book to get a glimpse into that world. I've heard about how difficult it is to leave gangs and things of the like, so I want to see if Bobby gets away. I don't mind books with profanity or generally sensitive content, so that doesn't deter me from wanting to read it. Thanks for the detailed review!

I always love a book that builds great power systems. Personally, I've read up on the Italian mafia and read some good material on it. I'm wondering if this book would be a good fit for me. Anyways it was an on-point review, it was well-written and I really was pulled into wanting to know more. Well done!

Having ties to some mafia group is complicated, to say the least. In this crime thriller, the author caught mafia essence to develop Bobby's complicated story. Thank you for your great review!
