E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom by Dorothy May Mercer is a book about Kelly Mcbride-Turbulo and Tom Turbulo who just got married and went on their honeymoon to an island in Honduras. Kelly has a degree in Computer Science and her husband is a cop at CCPD. While Kelly went on a 3-hour tour bus alone and her husband went scuba diving, she entered a gift shop to buy some gifts and was left behind by the tour guide when the bus departed. She tried getting the shop assistant’s attention but couldn’t find him anywhere. She saw the “employee’s only” door at the back and when she opened the door, she stumbled into a room that looked like there was an operation being performed in the room. She was surprised by an attack from behind but luckily got away.

Kelly, who was distraught, called her brother Michael McBride, a Senator, and told him what she saw and what happened to her. Mike phoned the CIA, and they sent an agent named Steve who kept an eye on the Turbulo’s without the Senator’s knowledge. The Senator’s personal assistant also sent two women with military backgrounds to keep an eye on his sister. Kelly told her husband what she discovered, and her being a very curious person and her husband being a cop, they soon find themselves going into full investigation mode, with Steve and the two ex-military women on their tail. They exposed Steve and to their benefit, they all worked together trying to uncover what Kelly found in the gift shop.

Dorothy May Mercer made sure to mention all the background and skills Kelly has to help her in her quest. Her degree in computer science and having classes from Dr. Peter Kinney, who taught her homeland security, enabled her to understand what she walked into behind the door in the gift shop. Kelly was also trained in karate, which gave her character an advantage when she was in a tight spot.

There is nothing negative about this book. The story keeps you enthralled and on your toes and I couldn’t put the book down. I give E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom 5 out of 5 stars.

I recommend it to readers who are interested in spy and crime novels. The storyline also included a bit of comedy and romance and a lot of action. I believe this book has been edited to perfection, as I found no errors
