The following is a review of The Date Farm by Jack Winnick.

At a Beverly Hills mall, men are already stationed to launch an attack. As the attackers unleash bloodshed upon the innocent mall victims, the LAPD and FBI respond to the scene to aid the victims and manage the crime scene.

I love how the book starts with lots of action.

It is the act of an Islamic terrorist organization that relishes and takes pride in this heinous act. As they celebrate the deaths of the innocent victims, the United States faces a significant loss and labels this as close to or worse than the 9/11 attacks.

Lara and Uri, both on leave and living in Israel, are technically still FBI agents and can be called in as needed.

They enjoy much-needed family time when they are interrupted in the middle of the night by a call from FBI headquarters in Los Angeles. They are very quickly briefed on the recent events and asked to come to help catch the group responsible. Both are requested to report to headquarters in Los Angeles right away, as their expertise is required.

After another attack, this time in New York, Uri and Lara head there to assist with the investigation. This time, however, they face an active threat with potentially devastating consequences. Everyone relies on Lara and Uri to identify the individuals responsible and uncover their motives and plans.

Winnick takes us on an emotional rollercoaster as they navigate these unfolding events. Both Uri and Lara come dangerously close to losing their lives during their coordinated efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Winnick does a great job sharing so many details to help the reader understand what is going on. The events described are fiction, but they seem so real since terrorism is something we sadly battle in the United States and throughout the world on a daily basis.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes mysteries, suspense, and fiction, even though events similar to this could happen.

There are no editing mistakes, and there is nothing I dislike or would change about the book. I give the book a 5 out of 5 stars.
