Review of Edwin Steelside Searching out the Devil
Book: Edwin Steelside searching out the devil
Author: Bradford Bennett
The Detective: "Sometimes the impossible can be redefined."
Have you ever known the suspect and the details of any crime case but just did not have any idea about how the detective will solve it?
This book is just like that. It's fiction: crime, thriller, detective, all this stuff.
Forty-two-year-old Edward has recently retired from his job as a police office investigator. He decided to work actively in action, not just attempt things far away from the office.
Edward lives in our century, with mobile phones, cameras, etc. Jerry, the backup information giver, or the dog, helps Edward throughout the book. Bill, the former co-worker, also helps Ed when authority and police are needed at the scene. Finally, Molly, the café worker, brightens Edward's mood and helps him control his sanity in these cases he faces.
While I definitely recommend this book for all readers, I especially recommend it to crime detective lovers, like Sherlock Holmes: working, thinking, and progress-type books. The book's dialogue was very effective, just like mystery novels of the 18s. I think the readers will enjoy the Edward and Jerry combination.
Over the story, Edward finds himself in a challenge of different cases in different industries. I love how I can know the clues and details at the same time as him; it makes me feel like I am also a part of the book. The ways he comes up with the methods, I was like, Oh my, you are a genius.
The narrative was the most wonderful; it was like a movie. It feels like a biography of a detective series; I really think part two will be the most interesting I will ever read.
Edward met many people just to reach a place. I think his character will be active and curious.
I really remembered a quote from a mystery book: This detective smells the crime a mile away, just like a watchdog.
The book was wonderfully edited; I recognize no errors so far, nor do I have anything to say about it as a negative comment. For some, though, I think they would say it's biased for Edward. But, hey, this is the fun about the book.
Edward Steelside searching out the devil book is really a fun old combined new style book. I really liked it. I would rate it 5 out of 5. Bradford Bennett's narrative and character making were really refreshing. I am glad I read this new book.
