Demon Freaks by Jim Hardison is a work of paranormal fiction. An amazing read for anyone interested in Demon, sacrifices, or just all out mystery this is the book for you. This book was really interesting it absolutely keeps your attention all the way through. There were a few moments that made me laugh, but I will tell you those later on. Great read and Thank you for this wonderful book.
It follows a group of friends who are in a band and in their junior year of high school. They have their sat test coming up. They are planning on staying at their buddy meets cabin. Much to their surprise life as they know it is about to change forever. It starts off with Ron and Bing two twin brothers and their friend meet who get in trouble in class for passing notes. Their teacher was so mad, but before any punishment could happen class had ended.
Later at the cabin things drink take a turn for the worst. Was one problem after another happening the boys realize it seems to have something to do with a mysterious silver dagger. Now with one friend captive with the powers of the dagger and the other friend Kaitlyn is missing they must find a way to get their other friends back.
I just love how the author makes you feel every intense moment throughout the story. The fact that despite all they did to stay safe and hidden they still get caught by something or someone. I like everything about this book. Especially how it straight and to the point it is. There was a couple times that made me laugh one was how the students take pictures of their teacher Mr. Brom. All because head hair didn’t match his facial hair. Another was the song they wrote and sang at the dance called “Spit-Flecked Broomy”. Nothing at all is what I happen to dislike about this book. It’s a great read.
This was an amazing read I enjoyed every minute. The best decision I made when I chose to read this book. At 468 Pages this book is a perfect read for a young adult or someone who enjoys a good thriller. I give this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. I didn’t find any grammatical errors which is great. Thank you for the opportunity to read this book. I am looking forward to the next one.
