“Raging Spirits” by Tiana Riley is a fantasy thriller showcasing the battle between good and evil. The evil force, Damon, wants to take control of the world. He misuses his spiritual powers to manipulate others according to his wishes. Currently in Russia, he infiltrates the mind of Prime Minister Vladimir (a purely functional character) and influences his decisions, steering him toward Damon’s own sinister agenda. Damon is also obsessed with a woman named Meredith, who is still in love with her ex-husband, Jared. Determined to break their love, Damon kidnaps Meredith and takes her to Russia. He also hurts Jared, leaving him close to death. Will he be successful in his quest and take over the world with his evil deeds? Read the book to find out.

The book also tells the story of Scott, an American fighter pilot who gets captured by the Russians while spying for America. The friendship between Scott and Schmitz (a Russian citizen who wishes to live in America) was very heartwarming. There were also other interesting characters in the book, like Will, Vaughn, Marie, Grace, etc.

Although the book is labeled as Christian fiction, the themes of good and evil can appeal to a wide range of readers. It doesn’t feel limited to just one perspective, and I believe anyone who enjoys stories about moral struggles and personal growth will appreciate it, regardless of their beliefs.

Some of the dialogue in the book wasn't consistently placed within double quotes. Sometimes the opening quotation mark was missing; other times, it was the closing one. It didn’t really affect my reading experience, but because it often happened, it was noticeable. A good second edit could easily fix this and make things clearer. Additionally, I felt the ending chapters were a bit rushed. Some important events were rushed and not explained clearly, which left me with unanswered questions and caused some confusion. Because of these two issues, I am rating this book 4 out of 5. Apart from these minor issues, the book was enjoyable.

The book has some violent and gory scenes. It also includes explicit sexual content and profanity. The book is most suitable for mature adult readers.

The rushed ending and the confusion regarding some portions of this book do give me pause. This sounds like my favorite type of novel, though, so I am planning to read it when I have the time. Books that revolve around evil and goodness really intrigue me. Thanks!

Honestly, the Christian fiction label is a turn off for me, so it's good to know that the fight between good and evil with its moral ramifications can transcend one single religion. I hope the author does proper proofreading to make it more readable. Thank you for your great review!

The blend of a dark battle between good and evil with complex character dynamics sounds pretty engaging. I like that the story isn’t confined to one belief system, making it more accessible. The flaws with the rushed ending and dialogue issues might be a bit frustrating, but the gripping plot and morally charged themes could make it worth a read. I might consider checking it out.
