Review of Foster's Revenge

Foster’s Revenge: A Luke Foster Novel by Jack Kelley is a high-intensity thriller combining oppressive military action with criminal drama as Luke Foster pursues his unstoppable hunt for justice. During his military service, Luke is given enough military training by his mentor Vince Clemente, who is also linked to the Mafia. Luke’s entry into such an environment, full of enemies plotting deception amongst high-level power battles and betrayal, is forced due to Vince’s mysterious death under unexplained conditions. As he continues to investigate a crime network far from traditional organized criminal activities, he fights off both state and Mafia authorities. Luke fights to show his military abilities and to represent himself and his company of loyal allies to prepare for more conflict.
Foster’s Revenge has masterful tension levels and action-packed storytelling that sets it apart for readers to read it as a page-turner. The combination of organized crime and the military made for a perfectly balanced mix of the features. In contrast, Luke’s character transformation from a football star ambition to a brutal military operator, then to a heartbroken avenger never ceases to pique my interest. The novel mixes the combative action sequences sensationally, as well as the tale within the tale, where Luke is seen as a fighter beyond his physical fighting ability. The point is that besides the central cast, Vince and Calico Hayes brought rich dimensions to the narrative. This is a well-made thriller, which offers very good action and tasty revenge, and it generates my expectation for who Luke Foster will become in the future.
I’d rate this book 5 out of 5 stars, as there are no flaws in it. This book displays some professional editing so that I can read through it without any difficulty. To fit the high-paced suspenseful action thriller genre, Kelley arranges his writing with a purposeful simplicity. Dialogue is smoothly run through the story and action sequences are vivid but not overkill.
Among the novel's best attributes is the speed with which the book tells its story. The novel begins smoothly without any introductory delays and a break, the novel swiftly begins Luke's origins and then his military career leading directly to his scary mission of revenge. The bulk of the story includes numerous executive action scenes that execute well enough to sustain suspense as everything continues to happen. Kelley creates such transport settings that transport readers into the rough Mafia sector and active war zones of New York and the high-stress funeral which undermines the power structures. Despite the rapid changes between different settings, the rapid changes weave a dynamic plot throughout the book.
Thriller enthusiasts who love to read military content and watch-for-crime drama stories will be readers of Foster’s Revenge. The book will be of interest to readers looking for tales of high stakes, with content from three distinctly narrative worlds: Mafioso thriller, military operations, and revenge-oriented stories.
