Review of The Alpha Particle

Tom was a sleeper agent, something in his wildest imagination he never knew of. His being one of Britain’s MI5 intelligence services sounds like a long dream, but this was no dream as he finds himself saving London from a terrorist attack that would have wiped out the country. Shockingly, his wife, Luna, was also a sleeper agent, and their meeting wasn’t a coincidence but a plan made by the CIA and MI5. Tom and Luna both have superior genetics, a rare type of genetics, and this makes them an invaluable asset. They were trained, had their memories temporarily erased, and were placed back into society with no idea of who they were. Tom and Luna found themselves in the centre of the terrorist threats looming around Britain and America, and these two are the major keys to stopping it. Still, with The Collective also in the shadows manipulating the whole thing, the battle ahead is more dangerous than they could have imagined. Follow these two on their journey to save Britain and America from total collapse and chaos.
The Alpha Particle by T.J. Hawkins is a crime action thriller that explores terrorism and political power. The terrorist Mohammed Baqri is determined to destroy America with the backing of The Collective, a powerful organisation that consists of anonymous high dignitaries in political power all over the world. This powerful organisation puts the world at its mercy and doesn't mind killing thousands of lives to achieve its selfish interests. The book further portrays how deadly devices are used to destroy lives, like polonium. After reading the book, I discovered that polonium is real and very deadly. This book felt realistic as the greed for political power is what we are facing in the world today, resulting in wars in some countries. I loved how the author built the suspense in the book, making every page a page-turner. The book is an eye-opener. It gave me insights into how politics is being played, especially in today’s world. The chaos in the White House and the threats from Baqri to the President show the fight against good versus evil. This is a fascinating story that is entertaining and insightful.
What I love most about the book is the strong moral lessons it teaches, one of which is the world being ignorant of the happenings behind the curtain of those in political power. I also love that the author makes the characters realistic. My favourite character is Tom. I love his genius mind in trying to thwart Baqri and The Collective's plans. It isn’t an easy feat, but his plans make a huge impact. This shows that even amid evil, there are still good people out there who will give it their all to conquer evil. Luna is another character I admire; her fierce personality and skills are a huge asset to the White House. Another is President Jane Monroe, who, despite the odds against her and being surrounded by traitors, never gives up hope of saving America. Her resilience and genuine love for her citizens are heart-touching. There is nothing I dislike about the book. This is a beautiful story that will give readers a lot to reflect on. The author brings the story to life excellently. As a result, I rate the book five out of five stars. The book is excellently edited. I recommend it to fans of crime thrillers.
