Robert, his family, and his friends were all recovering from the happenings in Jackson City. After a debriefing with Agent Paula and reminiscing of past experiences, they organized a large barbecue to welcome Thanksgiving. Unbeknownst to them, a new enemy from long ago lurks in the shadows, watching their every move.

Shortly after Thanksgiving, Robert spots Scratch on his property, who slips him an envelope containing information that terrifies him and the girls. How credible will the information be, and how will it effect Robert's and his family's lives?

As the situation calms down and the situation in Jackson City is under control, Jolie receives a letter that may strain her relationship with Robert, and to add to their problems, Greta and Emily both receive news that threatens to separate them, leaving them wondering who the new enemy is who appears to be targeting the girls and dispatching anyone who gets in their way.

An occurrence renders Robert unconscious, and as soon as he awakens, the girls disclose the new adversary, who is very powerful and chasing them, prompting them to execute a ritual for protection, as this new enemy will test the limits of their love and destroy them at any cost. Finally, who will be the winner, the victims, and the loser, and how far will the new enemy go to get his hands on the girls?

Grab a copy of this book to find out about the new adversary, the outcome with the adversary, and the destiny of everyone involved.

I enjoyed how Robert introduces himself after the prologue. "My name is Robert O'Banion..." It brought up fond recollections of some sci-fi films I'd seen recently. It also prepares you for things supernatural, which will blow your mind and draw you to a world of science fiction.

The author did an excellent job providing background information on each of the characters in the tale. It helped me better grasp their engagement in the current events and the role they were playing at the time. Having so many characters makes it tough to keep track of each one and their duties, but the author presents them in such a way that you learn to know them and the parts they are supposed to play in the narrative.

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars for the reasons stated above. The prologue at the beginning also provides a glimpse of the volumes that came before this one, making it easier to follow. I discovered a few typos as a result of the excellent editing. It was a page-turner that I thoroughly loved and well worth the read.

Beating Death - Witch Hunters by Sean O' Banion is suitable for those who appreciate science fiction novels; it is also appropriate for mature readers owing to profanity and sexual material.
