DEMON FREAKS BY J.R.R.R. (JIM) HARDISON

PUBLISHED BY FIERY SEAS

Demon Freaks is an exciting tale with a nonstop action, a supernatural horror with lots of humor. It is an interesting story on teenagers delinquencies, some crazy high school students who out of inquisitiveness, stupidity and stubbornness undertook a mysterious adventure that they almost lost their lives in a way that no one could have given account of what happened to them. They had engaged themselves fighting with men on black robes, teeth heads, demons, spirits, cultists, golfers association, Satan worshipers etc and came in contact with all sorts of mysterious charms, amulets and psychic, exposing their lives to danger in order to save their friends Meat and Kaitlyn who were captured by the dagger and the golfers association from being used as blood sacrifices and prevent a powerful demon from being unleashed into the world.

Bing and Ron Slaughter are identical twin brothers, friends and classmates to Meat Kimitri and Kaitlyn Krimpsen, and are also members of a band player called the Ephits, formally the Croutons, later the Angry Red Welts and now the Ephits. Bing Slaughter is one that weighs things before making a decision, he sees himself more poetic and studious, he fronted their band and wrote most of their songs, while Ron is impulsive and his impulsiveness always get them into trouble and sometimes into adventures, Meat Kimitri was the band’s drummer and Kaitlyn Krimpsen their keyboard player. The teenagers were supposed to be studying for their SAT exams which was to come the following day, but instead went on playing truancy than read their books due to lack of discipline.

The twin brothers Bing and Ron Slaughter always remember their parent's advice to read their books well and pass their SAT exams which is a stepping stone and a determinant to what they want to be in future, but failure to pass well on their SAT s could doom them to spend the rest of their days flipping burgers at the McDonald's' which has been their mother’s suggestion to pursue a careers at McDonald’s and having spent several summers flipping burgers, were not interested. Their counselor also told them that their best chance of getting admission into any good college was to study hard to pass their admission tests. The twins know they've got to cram like their lives all depend on it because their college plans sure do. All these thoughts made them suggest they should study for the test and then do band practice tonight at Meat's family’s summer cabin in the woods on Lake Willow, a few miles outside of town where his parents normally go on two weeks' vacation every year.

As events unfold itself through the night, the whole plan of going to a remote cabin woods to read took a different twist and redirection on their plans of studying, it was interrupted by a heavy rain, thunder lightning and storm, a monster lightning stricken cutting off power in the cabin and their cultist history teacher Mr. William Geoffrey Brom whom they disliked for his bullying came pounding on their cabin door with a mysterious dagger that has a controlling and possessing power, which possessed Meat to the golfers club house through its manipulating power, while the others chased him along into the dreaded golfers associations building to know what is going on with him. The twin brothers Bing and Ron Slaughter in their confused and desperate state looking for a way of escape from the golfers associations building through a tunnel, and their determination to save their friends Meat and Kaitlyn from death came across the Gore Hounds, blue, red and yellow who eventually saved them from being killed by teeth heads and others. The twin brothers also helped led the Gore Hounds to gain access to the golfers associations building by giving them information and directives on how to penetrate the building and the golf club chapel, the destruction of the demon which was spear headed by Ron's actions that brought an end to the demon and its deadly power, the golfers killing and wickedness and the rescue of Meat and Kaitlyn alive.

The meeting of their father who happened to be a member of the Gore Hounds and the heroism shown by the twin brothers Bing and Ron Slaughter, their courage and intelligence during the rescue operations of their friends Meat and Kaitlyn from being used as blood sacrifices to a blood thirsty demon got my interest so much and finally their joint decision to be deployed into the US intelligence army as operatives in order not to waste their talents made the re-union and adventure very interesting at the end.

This book is an exciting tale with a nonstop action, a supernatural horror with lots of humor. It is a sincere emotion with a solidly satisfying ending. It is better imagined than real, all the actions took place in one night and ended by morning, just like a trans, though the author didn't say if the exam, which was the startup of all their trouble did take place or not.

I like the courage of the twins, they never gave up even in the face of death, they are my kind of heroes. But I don't like people taking unnecessary risk when it comes to issues of life, they should know when to say stop. I will advice that parents should pay more attention on the activities of their children and know when to discipline them especially at that age. All of these problems points to lack of discipline.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. In my opinion the book is good for both adults and young adults, it will also do well to be acted as a cartoon movie. what appeals to me most is the spirits of determination exhibited by the twin brothers in lifting and encouraging one another through thick and thin. There were no errors, it was well edited, clearly written in a simple and clarifying English. I recommend it for anyone who like reading or watching horror books or film.
