Development of characters
For instance, I liked Meldorath at the beginning, but at the end of this book I have other favorite characters.

Now,I see him as a real sociopath, maybe psychopath who loves power and to cause trouble .
Also,
Rowan- I used to think he was arrogant, now, I see him as vulnerable.

Hans, I have to agree with @zainherb here - he does have some psychopathic and sociopathic tendencies.
Rowan, underneath his confident and arrogant outer shell, seems to be extremely vulnerable.
Demi, distrustful and antagonistic towards Rowan at first, is now out to ensure his safety.
I loved the character development in this book. Just goes to show that those whom we disliked at first can later become our favorite characters. Very excited to see what the future of Voulhire holds!
