I am still not sure how to rate this book. I've been giving this a thought. I really wanted to like it. But that is my problem. I couldn't. The premise and the science-fiction themes seemed to be enough for me. It started very good, but there are a lot of explanations and extra events that, I think, do not lead anywhere. The physics discussions are too professional and it would be okay if they had a place in the plot, but in the end it only seems that they are there to fill space and to show off the physics knowledge. Something like this happens with many events from Ron's life, they do not completely relate to the plot. And, finally, the purpose of all this time-travel talks *spoiler* was only to become rich. There is no further explanation or exploration of this or to whatever happens to Regina. After so many pages of detailed memories, this was a bit anticlimatic. It just seemed as the idea was there, very raw, and chaotic. I think I would like to see this book with a little more development and I would love it, but right now I just don't know.

The story for me is so slow and it feels like it takes forever to get to an interesting part and another forever to see another interesting part. I think it's because of all the discussions and explorations of deep scientific issues that might have turned me off. Don't get me wrong, I love sci-fi, but there's really not much for me to love in this book. The author did an astounding job, the book just wasn't for me.

I gave this book 3 out of 4 stars because it was captivating but there were a lot of unanswered questions that I couldn't overlook. What I liked most about this book was the scientific approach used by the author because I'm a fan of science. What I did not like about this book was the many unanswered questions because it kinda interfered with my understanding of the book. I would recommend this book to readers who are familiar with scientific terms and ideas.

I give the book a 4 out of 4 stars. I initially thought that the book was about a different topic, i like how it simply covers the inner thoughts of the main character. I liked how technical the physics of it all were too. I felt like a witness to some intelligent conversations.

valeriejane wrote: 05 Nov 2020, 19:22 I gave it 3 out of 4 stars because of the spelling errors that detract from the quality of the novel. This book is suited for a broader audience, I think it is fiction about science rather than science fiction. I liked how the book describes the challenges original thinkers may experience when they question conventional thinking. Although some of the concepts are complicated, don’t let the science dissuade you from reading this book. I suggest you go with the flow and allow the story to unfold.

Yes, I agree with you. At first, I thought I would hate it because it is mainly about science. But turns out, I was liking the story more and more as I read. I really loved the character of Louise and Regina.
Stay safe! Sending hugs

The character of Ron having one relationship after different has additionally hosed the effect of the story for me. Other than that however, I love the story and I would prescribe this to my kindred companions and colleagues also.
I would rate it a three out of four. I preferred the genuine plot and characters, yet the quantum material science addresses were excessively far from my reach.

When I initially looked at this book it seemed like something I would enjoy, but upon deeper inspection, I found it to be confusing and somewhat lacking in keeping my focus. Quantum physics is a rather complex subject and should be kept simpler when used in this type of context in my opinion.

I wasn't please with how the book ended though. But sure had a great plot, in my opinion. My favorite character is strangely Louise.

I love the scientific aspects of time and interaction with physics, I find them to be really fascinating and an alternative way to think. However, the terms tended to be too difficult and the author did not clearly explain them. I would cautiously recommend it to any inquisitive minds but who are ready to learn new concepts.

I rated it 4/4 purely because I loved the relationships between Ron and the other characters and how we see him grow as a person. I admit the physics was over my head in many places, but it did I feel help to show Regina's thinking. I also loved the ending and have many questions over who the young girl is Ron talks to.

I gave it a 3 out of 4 stars. The plot is good and the characters are well developed. The quantum physics lectures, however, made everything too technical and boring. It was really hard trying to grasp the concept of the Planck quantum theory and whatnot. The ending was also quite a letdown.

This story takes readers on a journey through stipends, chess matches, botanical specimens, theoretical scientific discoveries, and a deep dive into semantics. There are subatomic collisions triggered by particle accelerators, but there are also collapsing tunnels, underground explorations, exploding laboratories, stock fluctuations, and the lucrative amusement provided by poker games.

Particular events at particular places at particular points in time led to some explosive revelations, and commandeering forces would often attract, as we saw with Ron, Regina, and the eccentrically explorative Louise. This is a novel that certainly makes you ponder many postulates! I felt this book had a nice mix of relatable complexities and character associations, and it easily earned 3 out of 4 stars from me. :star:

I absolutely loved this book. I loved the quantum physics aspect- it really gave me things to think about. I realize some is mere speculation and theory, but I believe the basics are there. It really gives rise to some new perspectives on time and space. I've read other non-fiction books with some of the topics discussed here, and it's not far off. Also, I really liked Ron's character - he seems to love learning, even botany. I consider myself to be a constant student, and there is something to be learned from everyone and everything. And, math and physics go hand in hand.

I plan to buy this book for a friend.

I enjoyed the mysterious relationship Regina and Ron had. Nevertheless, some chapters of this volume are slow-paced, especially those that involved Russo explaining the physics quantum theory to Ron. As a result, I rate it 3 out of 4 stars.

Iris Marsh wrote: 12 Nov 2020, 11:25 I rated it 3 stars, as I wasn't really captivated by the story. I appreciate the level of detail Robert Leet put in the book with all the hard science and physics discussions, but it was a bit much for me. I ended up skimming the many lectures. I did think the characters, especially Ron and Regina, were well-developed and the quality of the writing was good. The ending felt somewhat anti-climactic, though.
Physics scholars and gurus would appreciate this book. Robert leet employed some rather intense physics parlance, that made a reader to seek their meanings before proceeding with the tale.
