I've always admired strong women and I found Lady Sougyon to be one without doubt. Her role in the story and the way she faces every difficulty is simply admirable. Hence, she is my favourite character.

Lady Sougyon is totally lovable and gives much admiration. The fact that she challenged status quo, never backed down, never gave up. She's such a strong character a lot of women would relate to or with. She's a goal getter. I love her courage and determination to be progressive regardless of any determent that came confronting her.

Lady Sougyon takes the day. She is committed to providing the best of everything for Embon. She does not allow her husband's altruism to weigh down on her. Moreover, her benevolence is so captivating. She treats her workers in a good way.

I loved Lady Sougyon. She is tough as nails. She reads and has a voice. For that reason, I also loved Prince Ansoon! He made sure his daughter received a progressive education and childhood.

I admired Embon most. I loved how he moved a pampered child to a man who was part of the young revolutionaries to change the state of Korea.

I liked Lady Sougon the best. SHe was a very strong and independant women despite the hardships she had to encounter such as gender stereotypes, raising her child by herself, etc...

Lady Sougyon, Embon's mom is my favorite character in the story. I loved her courage to raise a child single handedly and pass on all the values to him.

Lady Sougyon was the best character. Part of me wished the chapters from her POV were about her and not Embon. She was such a strong female character.
