Marriage is something works if the couple are willing to sacrifice for it, in the case of Dr berrah, for me I feel not that he was loving, him and his wife had the same mindset of making it work.

I am also dying to know the answer to this question. I was surprised when I read up the book and saw the picture of just one woman throughout. Because most time after seeing people who have led a successful life, we come to their family and see lapses. It was fascinating that Berrah's family stayed together.

I do not think that there is any special thing that he did. I think a successful marriage just depends on the personalities of both partners.

I think people's marriages differ some people abandon their marriage to save the world. I think in Gouhlem's life his case was different he showed maximum love to his family though he wasn't with them.

I" believe he was that successful because he adhered to his upbringing. His mother raised him right and he applied everything she taught him to his daily life.

I believe what helped Dr. Berrah and his wife was that they love and understood each other. Also Dr. Berrah's adopted father set a pace for them by buying his wife tickets whenever he is on an official journey.
