I watched the BBC series which I absolutely loved. I'm now reading the book and as usual, you get so much more from a book than from film.

"North and South" by Elizabeth Gaskell masterfully intertwines romance and social commentary, exploring class conflict and industrialization through the eyes of the resilient Margaret Hale. Gaskell's vivid characters and compelling narrative make it a timeless and thought-provoking read.
It is one of my favorite till today.
