A tale of two cities- Charles Dickens

Post by authoroliviarichards »

I felt as though I was riding in the creaking carriage with Mr. Lorry listening to the horses neigh and gallop in the mud as light from the moon scarcely lit the night. I could hear the silence and feel the heavy beating of their scared hearts, this is what a true author does for their reader, make the story their own.
I was barely able to put the book down from the French and English life to the revolution to the guillotine it was a vacation to the past.
The strong characters each with their secrets and hidden agendas are the complete spine of this novel I left wondering will the knitting ever end?
Just as the beginning grabbed you by the throat and holds through the story Dickens with the ending doesn't let go.
