The Plague by Albert Camus *spoilers

Post by Lauraelizabeth10 »

I found this book to be really well written but also quite sad. Given the title of the book I guessed it wouldn't have been the most happy buck but I expected it to have and happy ending unfortunately it didn't. I thought Albert Camus's writing style was very good and very descriptive painting a picture in my head of what was going on. I also thought that the character's were very complex in the book. I also enjoyed the omniscient storyteller telling the story from their point of view almost like they were looking down on the town of Oran describing what they were seeing. I gave this book 3 stars it was not the best classic I've ever read but it was pretty well executed and somewhat exciting.
