I would love to improve my Russian enough to read it untranslated!

I am currently reading this book (am at the beginning of part 6/8) and am really enjoying it. Great to read on the London Underground when it's crowded.
I read the author's description of Levin and Kitty's wedding and it really had impact. The book is a little slow in parts, not surprising for a book of this size but it has clearly held my attention. Being a book written in a previous century, I thought it would be difficult to make sense of but this was not the case.
I'll actually be sad to reach the end, already sensing it probably won't turn out well for poor Anna!
And then the question of what to read next ...

I've read the first part twice now. Every time I pick it up I'm reminded how much I love the story and the characters and the writing. But then around page 150 or so, I think about all the other books I'm not reading and I start to get a bit of ADD. I should pick it back up. Maybe I will tonight. You've all inspired me!
Also, I must have been the only person left on the planet who didn't know how it ended, but the Rory FREAKING Gilmore spoiled it for me!

However, I found the book to be a little dry. I think that it loses some substance in the translation.

I didn't like Anna that much and I thought that she wasn't a strong character. There were others shining a lot more.
