Personally, I like Jane Eyre more because of she infuse this classic love story with Gothic elements in order to suggest that there is more to our world than meets the eye. Even though pride and prejudice Pride is a humorous story of love and life among Georgian era, which I’m a huge fan of, Jane Eyre holds the ultimate win for me.

Oh gosh, you couldn't have picked two books more difficult to choose between! I just re-read Pride and Prejudice, so it's fresher in my mind, but I also love Jane Eyre. I think I have to go with Jane Eyre.

Pride and Prejudice definitely! While the English in Jane Eyre is pretty amazing, that's all it is. I felt like nothing ever happened in the book, and when it did, it took about 20 pages of just descriptions in order for it to happen. Pride and Prejudice, on the other hand, was both descriptive and fairly eventful. Also, let's not forget the incredible ways in which they were all able to politely insult each other!

PnP all the way! Austin brings the invisible every day thoughts to consciousness. “Every single wealthy man in need of a wife” to paraphrase, or how about- I wonder now how you know any accomplished woman (lol).
Mr Bennett’s reply concerning Mrs Bennett’s nerves; they are his old friends! This book is fun and the many one line reply’s are fun to use.

It is a very tough choice. Jane Austen's writing is totally different from that of Charlotte Bronte. Pride and Prejudice makes me feel cosy and comfortable, whereas Jane Eyre makes me think and stay alert. I wish I never have to choose between these two books. I love them both in different ways :D

To me, the two books are very different and almost incomparable! Pride and Prejudice is a true romance where I think Jane Eyre is something different. The romance is there, but it just different from Pride and Prejudice. I loved them both though and I think both are definitely worth reading.

It's hard to beat Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy. However, I would definitely choose Jane Eyre. It has romance, but also so much character development and symbolism. I find it a deeper novel.

I've read both. While they are both good...nothing beats Pride and Prejudice! It's my all time favorite classic!

And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts

Jane Austen for sure. Pride and Prejudice is one of the best sociological studies about early nineteen century British loyalty and society I have ever read - where title, rank, fortune, and good looks are in many ways the requirements of an approved marriage, much, much more than love.

I read Pride and Prejudice at least once every year. I liked Jane Eyre very much, but I haven’t been able to reread it. It’s Pride and Prejudice for me.

It should be Jane Eyre but for me it is Pride and Prejudice by a very thin line. I read both these books when i was very young. I liked both the books but Pride and Prejudice was easier to imagine to relate. After growing up, I got to read Pride and Prejudice again. So I've kind of disconnected with Jane Eyre though that is the stronger book of the two.
