Well, seeing as I don't know who Poirot is I am going to side with Sherlock. He is one of my beloved detective anyway.

Sherlock for me. The official editions are amazing. Poirot has a couple of good stories, but Sherlock has dozens of them I think.

As much as the show Sherlock has biased me towards Doyle's work, ultimately Christie's works hold my interest more than Doyle. Nonetheless, I love both a lot!

I would go with Sherlock(obviously). I dig for his humour and don't get me started on his friendship with Warson!🌸

in the real world an english detective is far more superior than a french police boyscout but in that case sherlock holmes it is an absurd character of daydreaming and catching geese while poirot of agatha it is more complete and believable!

Both. I love the setting in the Sherlock Holmes books. Also, some stories have this eerie feel about them which I like. Holmes is a strange character, and that is very intriguing. How can someone be like that, is the question that keeps me hooked.
Poirot is endearing in his vanity. His eyes glow green when he has an idea, and I wait for that moment! The interesting thing about Agatha Christie is her conviction of the presence of Evil and how some people have it in them.

I will always pick Sherlock Holmes over Hercule Poirot. I am an avid reader of both Doyle and Christie, however, there is something extremely charming about Sherlock. Poirot is very...arrogant...in my opinion. Rightfully so, considering how accomplished he is. But, I like someone who seems like they would be approachable.
Sherlock knows a lot about all different subjects and that is something I've always aspired to be. His logic, quirks, and thirst for knowledge have always been extremely attractive to me.
As far as movie and TV adaptations, I feel like RDJ's portrayal is more how I pictured him to be as opposed to Cumberbatch. (I love that show even though he's kind of a butthole).
I feel like Hercule Poirot just sits around and just listens. He's not really a man of action. He just sits and thinks and gathers information. It's just not as interesting.

I was introduced to Sherlock Holmes first so I would choose Sherlock over Poirot.

I enjoyed both. But the first mystery book I read was And Then There Were None (it used to have a different name) by Agatha Christie, so Poirot will forever have a special place in my heart. It was this book that made me love mystery books so I would have to go with Poirot.

Sherlock Holmes...
Imagine if we had no secrets, no respite from the truth. What if everything was laid bare the moment, we introduced ourselves?
