We all had some book that was so popular in our childhood years. This was the book every one talked or knew about. Which book was/were it/they? (kindly mention as many as you can remember.) Why were they so trending, if you can remember?

Some of the few I can remember was "A Tale of Two Cities", "Romeo and Juliet", and "The Hamlet" , to mention but a few. Romeo and Juliet was known for the love tragedy. The remaining I don't know.

I feel like the point of the "Classics" is that they're always popular, no matter the year! When I was younger, not many people I knew really read that much so the only books we could all talk about were ones we studied at school. Everyone liked Of Mice and Men because it was short, sweet and easy to read the night before an assignment

Around the World in 180 days and Grimm's Fairy Tales.

When I was child, I heard name of only one classic book and that was “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare and it was my first novel. I didn't enjoyed it very much because all I can remember was deaths and deaths throughout the book. But after few years I picked up more classic books and I enjoyed few of them very much.

For me the books that were popular and part of it was because they were made into movies were The Secret Garden and A Little Princess
But I also remember reading Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Grimm’s Fairy Tales and The Princess and the Goblin. There were quite a few more as I was always reading but they were the ones that stuck out to me.

It was the alchemist .
It still is a great book

Those were two of my favorites as well. I don't remember if they were popular or not, but I know I read both many times.

Kidnapped by Robert Louis Stevenson. It was the first novel that I had read when I was 10 years old. It was a very rewarding experience and even after all these years I vividly remember the story.

Anything by Shakespeare for sure.

I think it was "Oliver Twist" and I loved it

I don't know if it is because it's a classic or it's hyped up, but Jane Austen was pretty popular when I was a kid.

The Alchemist. I would recommend for anyone who hasn't read this book.

There were a couple of classic books prescribed to us by our school, but I think the most popular ones were Animal Farm by George Orwell, and The Crucible (which is technically a play) by Arthur Miller. I would still recommend both of these, and, in fact, anything written by George Orwell.

A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens readily came to mind. Julius Caesar by W Shakespeare was awesome.

I really like Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare even though in that book, there was a lot of death.
