A Midsummer Night's Dream

Post by MBerretta »

Hey there classic book lovers! I recently read A Midsummer Night's Dream by Shakespeare and fell in love with the story. It all just seemed very whimsical and I feel like it really showcases Shakespeare's humor. Has anyone else read it?
What's your favorite work? I think my all-time favorite is MacBeth.

I loved “A Midsummer Night's Dream” by Shakespear too. Honestly I'm not into classic books much but I loved this one. “The Taming of the Shrew,” “The comedy of errors,” and “Macbeth” are the others works by Shakespear I loved.

I've studied Shakespeare extensively through my learning career, and I must say that this was one of my favorite plays.
Here are a few of my other favorites:
"The Taming of the Shrew"
"King Lear"
"Cleopatra"
I feel that "Romeo and Juliet" is a bit overdone. What do you think?

I know I read this book, but for the life of me I can not remember what it was about 😅. Can anyone maybe help me with a summary?

I started reading Shakespeare when I was eight. I read Lamb Tales from Shakespeare which has some of his most popular works in one complete book for easier reading. A Midsummer Night's Dream was one of my favorite stories. Years later, I decided to read the original work published in the serious difficult Old English and it was tough going for me. Definitely a classic. Macbeth, The Tempest, Twelfth Night and Othello are some of my favorites too.

I never read it, but I just adored Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet. I will most likely read it now that you recommended it.

I've read all of Shakespeare's works and my favorite is a tie between Midsummer Night's Dream and Twelfth Night. the former is my favorite after I reread it when I became a young adult, and the latter is my childhood favorite story.

This work of Shakespeare is great. I really loved that. The character Puck literally piqued my interest in the highest degree. I guess I've read this artwork twice, the first of them being in the early 2000s.

Another great and often overlooked play of WS is The Tempest: The last play he wrote alone. Great fantasy stuff.

This book is easily one of my best of Shakespeare's work though I'm not really fan of his works. I'd recommend it to anyone that loves classical poetry

A Midsummer Night's Dream is my favorite of Shakespeare's works. I think Romeo & Juliet is overrated.
