Nearly everyone who's been introduced to classical literature has heard of Jane Eyre and just as many have read it. Reviews range from horridly boring to undeniably captivating. This stark contrast in opinions often steer the casual reader away from it, afraid of wasting their time.Well, dear reader... after many long nights, reading this book spent flipping page after page of the stark white pages, absorbing the black letters, imprinting their imagery onto my brain... I've come to a conclusion.

Read it.

It does not matter if you hate the wordiness of classic literature. It does not matter if you only read books of action. It does not matter if you hate romances. It does not matter if you despise reading (though I have no clue why you are reading this review then)!

All that matters, is if you read this book.

It may have become apparent to you that I found this book enjoyable. This book was assigned to my AP English 4 class in high school. Every girl and boy in that class read it. And liked it, if not loved it. It's an interesting tale about the dreary life of a girl who does not deserve the life she has been served. Though the synopsis of this book may seem average, if you push yourself to read at least the first couple chapters, you will be sucked into Jane Eyre's life. You will dismay at her sorrows and cringe at her pain. Heck, you may learn something about yourself. Though the ending leaves something to be desired like it's still unfinished, the journey was worth it.
