I cannot express enough how much I loved this novel. I have only read 'some do not' but intend to read the next three as soon as I get the chance. I loved the detail in which Ford wrote, the seemingly useless, 'boring' back stories of characters who are never mentioned again kept me captivated.
Although in saying that, this novel can also be incredibly confusing. I got half way through the second part and had to go back and read the entire thing again because I was simply bewildered at what was going on. Ford keeps you on your toes. You have to pay very close attention when reading.
Parade's End is not the sort of book where you can just read a chapter before you go to bed, you have to be wide awake and keep you're wits about you in order to not get lost.
