Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte

Unlike many classics, Wutthering Heights is not heavy or tiresome to read. I did not feel like I had to force myself to get through it, but was instead excited to continue reading. I found it difficult to fully establish my opinions about most of the characters, which to me shows how well developed they truly were. This book established the possibility of loving a book while simultaneously hating the vast majority of the characters. The novel incited frustration, tension, and eventually relief. The manner of story telling through Ellen was interesting, and Emily Bronte managed to use only a single narrator for the majority of the story while still thoroughly describing the events.
