I read this book as a child. In fact it must have been my second book and needless, to say, I loved it back them. Rereading it as a teenager thwarted my opinion though and I became more critical towards the book. And yet Jonathan Swift has a gift for making the adventure seem realistic and enjoyable at the same time. Kids and adults would love the book all the same.

Jonathan Swift is, in my opinion, the father of political satire, and Gulliver’s Travels is an awesome example. Swift was infamous for his blunt and very obvious portrayal of political figures of his day. We miss that because we don’t understand the history behind it. If you want Swift at his best, read A Modest Proposal. This is where the phrase “Don’t throw out the baby with the bath water” may have originated.

I have read this book twice already and found it full of fun. The different fictional places through which Gulliver travels are really fascinating.

During my schooling we had a lesson about Gulliver's travels. It was a real fun while our teacher was teaching us the lesson. I always loved Gulliver's travels. Now when I got to read this book it made me to travel through the memory lane of my schooling days... What a fun it was. Excited to read again.

It's really good political book , directly it talked about giants & petites , but indirectly it seemed to tell is the story of politics , between roler and his peaple , or between the king and who role the king silently. :no-spoil:

I had to read this book's A Voyage to Lilliput part for school and write a book report. I ended up reading the other 3 parts as well.

I remember, we had this book as a lesson in our English text book. We had colorful pictures too with texts and as a kid i enjoyed this story very much. But still now I had not picked up this book. It's on my TBR because I want to read the complete story. I hope, I'll pick this book soon.

The travels and adventures of Gulliver's is a book worth every time spent on it. The book is so easy to read, and has understandable character. A good relaxation book for all.

I read this book when I was a teenager, but I didn't like it at all although I am a fan of adventure and fantasy books.

I loved this story when I was a kid. Gullivers Travels is one of those books that I can always read over and over. I think it read differently for me when I was younger though. As an adult the different events have taken on new meaning when I read it.

We had this in school, but I had no idea how great it is when read as an adult. When I read it as an adult, I was quite impressed by the author's writing style.

Well what can I say
I am giving it a 4/5
I love how all the adventures seem both real and completely ridiculous. The languages he created , some see difficult to understand
But anyway I love the adventure 😘
