Have to say the BBC show made it amazing and had my attention more than the book.

I enjoyed the Holmes part but found the Mormon section went on too much.

I wonder if Doyle was expecting to write more about Holmes and Watson. Perhaps he did not really know what to do with Holmes, which was why he padded the book with the Mormon section ?
