A Clockwork Orange is a fantastic book but it can be difficult to read because it covers some triggering topics so just keep that in mind if you do decide to pick the book up

Alexander Pushkin's Balkins Tales is one of my favourite classics. Russian authors are great, eventhough very few are mentioned in the wetern literature..

Not sure whether it classifies as a “classic” but I recently read The Handmaid’s Tale and thought it was fantastic. It has dystopian theme so if you like that sort of thing, would definitely recommend you give it a try. It’s a relatively short book as well. I read it in a matter of days.

I just finished reading Edgar Allan Poe's forgotten tales . a short book with several short tales. Very enjoyable.

Also, I recently enjoyed 'Joan of Arc'. I read it in French though, so if you understand French, you should check out 'Jeanne D'Arc; hier et aujourd'hui'. Very enjoyable.
