"The Taming of the Shrew" is actually quite good. I will admit that I did not like it the first time I read it, but I read it again for a college course and fell in love with it.
"King Lear" is another favorite of mine.
"Romeo and Juliet" is one that is read often in schools. I feel it's a bit overused, but still would be a good one to start with.
"Macbeth" was fun to read and analyze.
