I haven't read it in a while, but I do recall it being a slow start.I feel like all of Jane Austen's books have a slow start. Did you ever finish it?

Exactly! One of my favourite books! I love both so much and yes, Darcy and Elizabeth were just the right fit in my opinion. I repeatedly read the chapter where Darcy opens up about his feelings towards Elizabeth.

Welcome to the world of Persuasion, an exciting and riveting novel from Jane Austen. This timeless classic has been loved by readers for centuries because of its exploration into themes such as love, ambition, pride, and societal expectations. Set during 19th-century England, this romantic comedy follows Anne Elliot – a woman whose family is facing financial hardships - through her journey towards finding true love in the midst of challenging circumstances.
Persuasion captivates readers with its dramatic plot twists and soft romance between Anne’s decisive nature and Wentworth's steadfastness—all while displaying Austen’s penchant for wit that she is famed for! Readers will also appreciate how complete characters sketches are built up throughout this narrative as each person struggles to find their place within the convoluted power dynamics at play in Regency culture–– teaching us all valuable lessons about understanding our own identities amidst external constraints.
For lovers everywhere searching for beautiful stories woven expertly around memorable protagonists you cannot go wrong when buying 'Persusion'. Get your copy today from Writerly Books--the perfect literary pick me up sure to warm every heart!

I read it years back. If my memory serves me right, it's not as captivating as "Pride and Prejudice," "Northanger Abbey," or "Emma."

I’m a new Jane Austen fan, and I really appreciate all the insight in this discussion! I’ve been hearing lots of good things about Northanger Abbey, so I think that will be the next book of hers that I read. I think I will wait to read Persuasion until I’ve gotten a few more Jabe Austen novels under my belt :)
