I grew up reading the Famous Five and the Secret Seven stories. My parents and my sister had read them before and it was a great experience to be able to talk with them about the books and the plots. Definitely she was one of the authors that encouraged me to read and enjoy the lecture.

Enid Blyton was my entire childhood. I would re-read the books over and over again. I would imagine I was a member of the Secret Seven and would be with them on their adventures. I would remember the secret passwords until they had to be changed of course. What lovely memories. They helped me escape when things were tough for an introverted bookworm.

+1 for the Enid Blyton appreciation. In my mind I've read hundreds of her books, in reality it was probably around 50, but for a young lad her adventures were very entertaining

I used to hope I could solve mysteries like the Secret Seven since I was so obsessed with them. I owe a debt of gratitude to Enid Blyton for penning these books, which were my introduction to reading.

My favorite childhood author! After reading the entire Famous five books, I made it my mission to read all her work, including the secret seven and I have to say, it was fantastic.

I’m yet to read this book. Though the reviews I saw aren’t encouraging but I will give it benefit of doubt
