I began reading this book yesterday. I love Joan of Arc and nineteenth-century literture, so I'm happy to finally be getting around to reading it. It's well-written, of course, and is quite historically accurate.

I smiled when I saw this because I don't know anyone besides myself and my brother who have read this book! And we read and re-read it. I was so young when I first read this that I actually thought it was written by someone who really knew Joan of Arc. :D I had read other books about her, so I was intrigued just by virtue of the subject matter. I've read just about everything Twain wrote, and this is definitely a favorite!
