March Holidays

Post by Heidi M Simone »

Is there a holiday that you celebrate this month?

Is there one that you weren't aware of and now want to acknowledge/celebrate?

For me, I would like to acknowledge and celebrate International Day of Happiness/Won’t You Be My Neighbor Day (by Fred Rogers) on March 20th. He was such a lovely person and one that that I hold dear from my childhood.

I also would like to take the time to acknowledge International Women's Day on March 8th. I knew this existed, but never really acknowledged before. It's such an important holiday that I would also like to take the time to think about the women who have helped me have the rights I have today.

We are celebrating Fire Prevention Month. On the first day of the month, we already felt the scorching heat. 🔥
For years, statistics showed that March had the highest number of fire throughout the year (at least in my country).

Also, we celebrate Women's Month.

Go figure!

I like the idea of celebrating Fire Prevention this month. It's something that can lead to devastation, but perhaps if we talk about it more and are more aware of how to prevent fires, then there would be less tragedies.

Women's Month is a good one to celebrate for sure!

Thank you for sharing! :tiphat:

Certified nurses day on 19th march. I wasn't aware of this holiday but i would really like to acknowledge this day.
As a student nurse i really support and appreciate the nurses who are out there in the field. They really come in handy and perform a great job. It would be really useful celebrating them on that day and showing them that they matter to us. They are my greatest role models.
