Did you appreciate the writing style? Presenting the book like a dialogue with Seb and including the educational stories.
I think it is a great way to simplify and create engagement for such a dry and difficult topic.

I am not too far through the book yet, but so far I am really enjoying the writing style, it is really enjoyable. It seems to be written more like a story than a non fiction book, but it still has a lot of details in it and informs the reader! I am enjoying it very much!

I did appreciate the narrative style that the authors used in this book. I think breaking up the content with dialog and other stories gives the reader a chance to digest some of the information presented.

From what I have read so far, the writing style appears to be unique to more religious books I have read. This makes it a more enjoyable read than I anticipated when I read the sample. Parts of the book read like fiction and I enjoy that. It is a faster read than I thought it would be.

I liked the writing style. It was clearly and cleanly presented and I enjoyed some of the stories that were included. They gave it a personality that may have otherwise not been present, adding that human element we all look for without realizing it.

The writing style and dialogue made it the story easy to relate to.
It was expressive and open in ways that was suitable for me.

I am still reading this book, and I like the writing style. The book is dense with meticulous research on religious content. The book would be much harder to read if the author did not use some narrative stories to explain some concepts better.

I agree with you. I think the author's writing style presented the book and ideas in a much simpler and direct manner that I appreciate. And I think other readers will, too. It's definitely made what could have been a complicated narrative into something much more condensed and understood.

I enjoyed the writing style employed in the bit that I've read. I especially liked the parts of the narrative that were told as though they were fiction; it kept my interest in the book. The author's style of writing is generally impressive.

I've just started reading the book, and I have to say that I'm more impressed than expected. The narrative moves wonderfully, presenting the historical aspects as stories more than just dry facts and figures. For example, I've read historical writings about Isaac ben Samuel, Isaac Luria, and others, and this narrative makes their stories much more accessible. I'm most definitely engaged and already would recommend the book based just on the several chapters I've already read.

Putting historical events into more intimate stories really helped. It was fun and enjoyable. I really appreciated it.
The dialogue approach made it more friendly, not like an acadmic book. But sometimes it felt forced. I wouldn't change it completely, but maybe be more careful with the nuances of the conversation.

Maybe I'm more demanding than others... I'm now in chapter three, and I would definitely take away one star because of the poorly edited text. Long sentences, repetitive and excessive use of subjunctive mood, and multiple unanswered questions; all this makes reading less pleasant. If it's a dialogue with a child, then the language should be simple and understandable, with no complicated constructions.
I agree that the story in general is easy to comprehend, but the text needs more editing.

The book writing is very interesting because it is not written like it is nonfiction. I can wait to see what happens in the end.

The book is thick with careful examination on strict substance. The book would be a lot harder to peruse if the writer didn't utilize some account stories to clarify a few ideas better.

The narrative style of this book sure is different from the other books of the same concept. It's refreshing and less dry when it comes to discussing the religious and historical aspects, so it's easier to read.
