I agree it is a necessity, yet not one everyone can afford. It is also a choice as there are people who will not participate or seek out healthcare. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.Adaeze Joan wrote: ↑26 Jun 2021, 09:59 I definitely agree with the author. Health care insurance is a necessity because you can't tell when an illness would befall you, so it's better to be on the safe side.

I believe it is both. I know it is a necessity, but it is also a choice. There are many people who refuse to seek healthcare for whatever reason. Thank you for sharing yout thoughts.Kebble wrote: ↑26 Jun 2021, 13:43 The author makes an interesting point by noting that it is not a choice. It is very hard for someone to know when issues to do with one's health arise. There are so many examples of people who live otherwise healthy lives only to be disadvantaged at some stage by a health problem and it has affected their lives in great depth. I would suggest that health insurance is necessary for everyone to have. Thank you

I agree it is necessary, but it is also a choice. There are some that simply cannot afford insurance and some who choose not to get it. Everything in healthcare is expensive, even with insurance, especially for those on the lower-income bracket. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.Tammie18N wrote: ↑26 Jun 2021, 18:30 As someone who works in healthcare, it is most definitely a necessity. People get sick, people get hurt, accidents happen. The price of even simple procedures and office visits is exorbitant. That's before specialists and surgeries or complex procedures. I see people all the time who cannot get the help they need because they don't have insurance and can't afford to pay out of pocket. There is no way they could have even saved up the money to pay either. Insurance is a necessity and there is no way around it with prices as high as they are.

I agree that health care is a necessity. I also believe it is a choice. Not everyone will get healthcare, even if they can afford it. For whatever reason, come people just choose not to. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

I agree it is a necessity, yet it is also a choice. Some people choose not to get it, even if they can afford it. Whether we agree with them or not, it is what it is. Society is struggling in a lot of ways. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.Liveforchrist51 wrote: ↑27 Jun 2021, 00:57 Healthcare is a necessity. Everyone becomes ill or has children or injuries at some point. Without healthcare, it would be impossible for people be get the treatments they need. Society today is struggling horribly with people not being able to afford healthcare.

I agree it is necessary, but also know that it is a choice. Some people simply choose not to have it or get it, rather they can afford it or not. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Yeah, I think it is one of those "necessary evils." You have to have it so the cost is crazy high, but then some people simply choose not to have it. With or without it, costs are high, but without it, it's insane. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
