There are so many christain women who go through this kind of abuse and refuse to speak up. I like the writer.

Unfortunately the church may not be in the best position to wage a crusade against domestic abuse unless victims are ready to speak up to the church concerning the offender irrespective of their status and responsibilities.
The church is a place where people pretend to be alright, where a lot of things must not be said or revealed.
I think Mrs Carolyn is indirectly asking us to be frank and open to our church leaders.
