I like the book. It covers very sensitive topics. I can't wait to read more about the protagonist's journey through life, childhood, and sexual discovery. Congrats on botd. Great review.

Seems like the author had a traumatized upbringing which has really sunk my heart. I'm glad some will relate to the story and draw some inspirations. However it does not fascinate me to read the story so I will pass on this one. Congrats on BOTD.

This book is a "confessional biography or biographical memoir" that explores the life of the author who gave himself the name of Simon. The names of the characters have been changed so this is not an autobiography. The book is not for children since it contains sexually explicit material including violence. Simon experienced harassment as a boy and was raised by a WWII veteran that did not marry his mom, a broken women that cried often. Simon is probably LGBTQ so this added to his harassment at school. Very good review.

Great review. I like to read about real life events, as I am certain there would be many things to relate to and learn from. Simon’s story is sad, what with having a soldier father and an emotionally unstable mother plus having to deal with the confusion around his sexuality. Sounds interesting and worth the read. Congratulations on BOTD 🥳

I am always posting about how I do t read books like this; however, this one has my attention. I don't mind explicit at all, and my son is in the LGBT+ Community. I think this would be a very raw book to read

This biographical memoir explores the self with unabashed candour. Themes here include, traumatic childhood, exploring relationships, love, betrayal, life in LGBT community and much more. A honestly written memoir and a good book review. Congratulations on the BOTD!

The story and the review seem to be well written. But this book is clearly not for me.

I find true stories about people embracing their sexuality after emerging from traumatic childhoods and societal pressures, quite uplifting. Will surely read this one.

I admire the courage of the author for documenting his own life story. Would have love to read this book but the sexual explicit contained in the book is a no no for me. Nice review nevertheless.

This is a well written review. Simon’s journey to self acceptance would definitely be interesting to read. However, I am usually very reluctant to read books with high explicit content. Regardless, the plot sounds interesting and well thought out. Congrats to the author for the courage to use his personal experiences to write about such important matters.
