[Following is the official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Grandparenting Grandkds, Book 1" by Michael Lee Joshua.]

"Grandparenting Grandkids, Book 1” by Michael Lee Joshua, is the first in a series of inspirational fiction books featuring short stories about his grandkids. The stories are about interactions between him and his grandchildren of varying ages. This book tells of growing up, life experiences, loss, hope and the importance of family bonds.

It speaks of growing older and the things you learn along the way, the things you have overcome and reaching the point in your life where your grandkids bring you the most joy. There are stories about changes in life such as marriage, divorce, relocation and the importance of relying on faith in God to pull you through the tough times. The rewarding and not so rewarding sides of Parenting and the treasured intimate times spent with family.

I found the book to be very heart-warming and funny. It was not too cutesy or bland and was an easy read. The Author really managed to bring across the everyday occurrences in a touching way. In reading the book you really get a sense of love and community in the family. It is not a fancy book in terms of drama or action but it was a good read nonetheless, if this is the kind of book you are looking for.

I have never read inspirational fiction before and found it to be a good book. The best stories to me were the ones where he was spending one-on-one time with his grandchildren; playing hide and seek or explaining why he does not ride on roller coasters and why he cannot have his valuable memorabilia no matter how much his grandson begs. As a parent I really enjoyed those stories.

This book can be completed in less than an hour, so one should keep that in mind. Overall, this book brings you back to the basics of life and what is important. A lot of us can get caught up with the rigours of everyday life that we miss out on what is really important to us. That is the essence I gathered from reading it and I hope others like it.

I would definitely recommend this book to persons who gravitate toward this type of fiction. It’s a short Book but a good read and I really don’t think anyone will regret having read this piece of inspirational fiction. I give this book three out of four stars.
