I know absolutely nothing about Hockey but the reviewer makes you a little intrigued to give the book a peak. I think old and young Hockey fans, as well as any sports fan would enjoy reading this book. I could see this book making it to the big screen the likes of A League Of Our Own!

I’m not typically a sports person, but I do have some fond memories of watching American hockey games with my family as a kid, so I might like this memoir. It sounds as though it might need a stronger sense of organization and/or theme, but otherwise, the book could be an intriguing trip down memory lane. Thank you for the helpful review.

This book sounds like an amazing experience for hockey lovers or maybe sport lovers in general but I am neither of the two. I am sure though that anecdotes related to hockey and big names mentioned in the book will make hockey lovers nostalgic. But its not for me. Congrats on BOTD

"Two Minutes for Talking to Myself" by Curt Keilback is a story written by a color commentator for the Winnipeg Jets/Phoenix Coyotes, a Canadian that loved watching his favorite hockey team win the Stanley Cup. Hockey is a violent game with players crashing into opponents and coaches going crazy behind the player bench. Keilback spent decades as a commentator and he interviewed many Hall of Fame players and coaches. He had a firsthand view of what went on during NHL games and really understood the game. I have been a lifelong hockey fan and have watched at least 2,000 games. The two-minute reference in the title is linked to the two-minute penalties players receive for minor rule infractions. An enjoyable read and a very good review.

I appreciate the author's effort to compile and share his broadcasting experience through anecdotes and inside scoops. However, because the topic does not interest me, I will skip it. I am sure the hockey fans would love it. Congrats on BOTD.

I am not a big fan of watching most sports, but I do like participating in some competitively. I recognize Wayne Gretzky's name, but memoirs are difficult books for me if I unable to connect to the overall story.
