In today's world, when even children face stress and sleep depravity, mindfulness and meditation must become inevitable parts of our lives. At the end of an eventful day, it is essential to have a restful night, particularly for children. Through her book Mindful Magic: Dreamy Bedtime Meditation for Children, Kayla Green Carter, M.S., CSD, seeks to equip children and parents with tools to find peace within themselves. She utilizes her expertise, experience, and enthusiasm as a devoted parent, author, and child psychologist to craft this book that takes children on a magical journey toward peaceful sleep.

As the author points out at the beginning, the bedtime struggles between parents and their children are ever-increasing. No parent can ignore the importance of proper sleep in the overall development of their children. Yet they find it hard to create a setting that will curtail the bedtime hassles and soothe the children quickly. This book aims to enlighten parents about bedtime meditation, mindfulness, and a consistent bedtime routine. It discusses the advantages of introducing meditation into children's nighttime rituals and its beneficial effects on their mental and emotional health. The author explains the science behind the relationship between meditation and a restful mind.

Parents who have trouble getting their kids to sleep may find this book to be a helpful resource. They will benefit from the detailed advice on establishing a suitable bedtime routine and environment for uninterrupted sleep. The imaginative and delightful stories in this book, which differ from all other bedtime stories, are what I enjoyed the most. These tales aim to foster children's imagination, strengthen parent-child relationships, and build a secure and comforting environment. The story titled "The Magical Garden" was my favorite.

The book is quick read and well-edited, and I found only one minor error. The language is age-appropriate. Despite this, it feels repetitive after a few initial chapters, and readers may skim through paragraphs. Though the individual chapters are not lengthy, a few could have been merged or omitted. For these reasons, I would rate this book 4 out of 5.

In conclusion, I would recommend this book to all parents. The stories included in the book will help them introduce the concept of guided meditation to their children at a young age. When a child is well rested, it is not only beneficial to them but also to their parents.

This book seems like a valuable resource. It is not only helpful for ensuring mindful sleep but also for providing a healthy break from using smartphones, which are a must for kids nowadays. It's truly effective in engaging them with imaginative stories rather than exposing them to the harmful radiation from smartphones. Practicing meditation at a young age will also benefit them greatly. Thank you for sharing this wonderful review!

I was genuinely surprised by your review...it never even dawned on me how much more difficult it would be today for parent's to their kids to sleep, much less ensure good quality sleep! When my own daughter was growing up, over 20 years ago, it seems like it was a different world. I appreciate the idea of this book, even though I might not find it necessary to read - perhaps I can recommend it to a friend who has kids still in the home! Thanks so much for sharing your review!

Kids love their time with their parents and their stories before to sleep. These are such special moments for their relationship, imagination, and good psychic. I admire the idea of such kinds of books. I would read it with pleasure.
