Mediums and psychics have different skills. Often employing tools like tarot cards, psychics use extrasensory perception to offer insights about various elements of life, such as relationships or upcoming occurrences. In contrast, mediums are experts at connecting customers with the dead or the spiritual through speaking with spirits or other non-physical entities. When seeking their services, it is crucial to be aware of these distinctions and to approach them with skepticism and an open mind. Nicky Alan, the author of The Rise and Fall of Britain's Best Psychic Medium, was a remarkable woman who possessed both the gifts of a medium and a psychic. She advanced to gain recognition on a global scale.

Beginning with Nicky's medical retirement from the police department, where she had worked as a detective for a while, the book describes her time as a detective. She was a unique child with psychic powers, and she occasionally gave people psychic readings. She experienced an emotional breakdown after retiring, and she began having ghostly encounters. Little did she realize that this was the start of a new chapter for her as a psychic medium. Why did some experienced mediums envy Nicky's skills? What made her so unique in the world of spirit communication? How did a medically retired detective become a well-known psychic medium around the world? Get the answers to these questions and more in the book.

The protagonist, Nicky, is without a doubt my favorite character in the novel. She was a lively woman who took pleasure in communicating the messages of the deceased to their living loved ones. She committed all of her time and energy to serving as a conduit between the living and the dead. Despite having extraordinary abilities, she didn't take advantage of others or charge outrageous fees for her services, as some of her dishonest coworkers did. I especially appreciate how she explains the importance of pets and animals in general and how it is horrible to treat them as food and not as sentient beings.

Her assertion that animals can reincarnate and should be treated with love and respect in the same manner as people has given me a new outlook on the problem. Despite taking a significant hit to her career and health, she bravely picked herself up and kept doing what she loved.

There is nothing I dislike about this book. The writing was humorous, relatable, and realistic. I commend both the editor and the author for their excellent work in bringing this fantastic book to the public. I rate this book five out of five stars because of the numerous lessons and the exceptional editing that was done in it. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys spiritual literature.

In "The Rise and Fall of Britain's Best Psychic Medium" by Nicky Alan, the book explores the distinctions between psychics and mediums.
