The world has gotten so big and so connected - it makes it all the more complex! I wish for the free and honest press more today after reading this book. Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me a comment!Sarah Zain wrote: ↑28 Sep 2023, 08:23 A free and honest press. I think it is the wish that most of the people of the world wish for. Using the news badly as a means of controlling the opinions of the world has greatly affected the course of many matters. Your review did the book justice and I enjoyed reading it

Your insights into the book are truly thought-provoking. The growing distrust in the news media and the impact of disinformation are undeniably pressing issues of our time. This book appears to offer a valuable exploration of this complex problem, shining a light on the inner workings of the press and its indispensable role in our democracy. Well done, indeed!

Jennifer, thanks for your kind comments! I would agree with you that awareness does vary considerably; I was genuinely surprised at what I didn't know versus what I thought I did know! It is scary, but I think we're all coming around in terms of awareness and it will inevitably lead to improvements...I hope!Jennifer Coxon wrote: ↑30 Sep 2023, 17:25 This is an insightful review. Awareness of the issue is key, although I think awareness among the populace does vary considerably. I feel like reading this book would be an Alice Through the Looking Glass-type situation - eyes wide open. It is scary how something that should be unbiased and factual can be used by people with influence or power to create the narrative of the day based on their goals. Great review.
