Shirley Jones autobiography

Post by shoxie2 »

I just finished this book and was absolutely 'enchanted' (for lack of a better word) with it. It was so fascinating to read and brought back some good memories of watching her and her tv family on the Partridge Family back in my younger days---and yes, I, too, had the usual school-girl crush on her stepson. Shirley has lead a fascinating, FULL life and I admire how very much she 'rolled with the punches' throughout some VERY turbulent times---such grace and dignity she had and still HAS at 80 years old----we would be BLESSED to see her have another tv series (her and Betty White need to buddy-up and give us some 'old woman QUALITY time!!!) :P :D :!:

I scanned it at the bookstore but now when it comes in at the library I'm reading it. I always had a crush on Jack Cassidy when I was a kid, I was weird...everyone else was crushing David of course...thanks for the recommendation :D

I haven't read this yet, but I plan to. I heard Shirley on the radio talking about it and how she wanted people to know she had a totally different life than how she was portrayed on the show. The talk show host was saying he was shocked at some of the personal material in the book, so I'm interested to read it!
