I haven't heard of Marcelino Massana and will find it interesting to read about his exploits. It's sad that the church was only interested in strict rules and displayed apathy towards people's freedom, opinions, and feelings. I can understand that it would have a profound impact on his view of the world. As the author has a personal connection to Massana, it will be fascinating to read about previously unknown experiences. Thank you for the review.

Marcelino Massana's story sounds fascinating, filled with trials and resistance against oppressive forces during a tumultuous period in history. "Swallows Also Fall" seems like an intriguing read to delve deeper into his life and his role in the Spanish Civil War. It's incredible how individuals like him can shape and be shaped by the events they navigate through.

A historical warfare story book "Swallows Also Fall" by CR Armeny, which follows Marceli, who experienced the Spanish Flu during the childhood and was later brought up in a Church.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

Whatever side you are on, war is full of unpleasant things. Upon initially reading this review, I assumed it was nonfiction. A significant portion of a child's character is shaped by their upbringing. I would love to read the book to learn more about Marceli and his involvement in the war.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and recommendation. It sounds like a must-read for those fascinated by the intersections of personal stories and historical tumult, particularly within the context of 20th-century Spanish history.

This review tells us that "Swallows Also Fall" by CR Armeny is a historical novel about Marcelino Massana, a figure from the Spanish Civil War who opposed Franco's regime. The book fills in gaps about Massana's early life and depicts his transformation due to oppressive influences, such as the church and wealthy landowners. The reviewer appreciates the author's passion and the effort put into piecing together Massana's story despite limited information. They note some confusion with narrative perspectives and timeline shifts but still found the book compelling and well worth reading, particularly for those interested in history and historical conflicts, giving it a 5 out of 5 stars

Sad that Marcelino had to loose his parents to the flu and I would love to know how life was for him after he is to be raised in a church environment. Congrats on BOTD.

Congratulations to the BOTD author! I have sampled a few pages and already love the delivery through Rosana. I am certain the remaining pages are great too and worth the time because of the perfect OBC rating.

I think the points of view were mixed up a bit, but I managed to piece it all together. There are times the story is told from Marceli's perspective without as much as a clue on who it was. I only understood whose perspective it really was when I read the book and the review description. Also, the introduction starts much later, then the story shifts to a totally different timeline — from when Rosana, her brothers, and Marceli were little — and that threw me off a little. I managed to fit everything together, so I can't say it's so much of an issue.
- It sounds very confusing and time-consuming to unravel the different timelines. Therefore it would be a huge issue. Nevertheless thank you for your thoughtful review.
