The review was insightful and beautifully written. The idea of sharing a story of life experiences and adventures sometimes pays off. The readers of these events can relate to any of them and think about themselves and their lives, despite our differences. Congrats on BOTD

'Official Review: Escape to Paradise and Beyond: An Englishman's Global Quest For Truth And Enlightenment' by Maitreya Dasa has an appealing introduction. It is informative and enriching. Readers would want to step back and look at their lives. The point that the memoir is a comprehensive account of Maitreya Dasa's life and learned truths is worth mentioning in the review. Also, as mentioned in the review, each subheading was about a particular country the author visited or an experience he had. Readers would do what they want to do and chase the experiences they want to have after reading this book!

This is a biography that the author was unsure of writing. The author sticks to the facts of his birth as he knows them, his childhood and growing up, and then focuses on his travels and experiences. I struggle a little with biographies and have struggled to connect with this one a little due to its purely factual nature.

I'm not particularly fond of memoirs, so this book is not for me. However, the review was nicely written, and I'm certain many will benefit from the author's travels, observations, and insights.

Maitreya Dasa started off slow with a matter-of-fact writing style that felt impersonal. However, as the story progressed, I became completely engrossed in his journey. The book’s structure, with chapters and subheadings detailing his travels and experiences, kept the narrative engaging. Despite some initial detachment, it left a lasting impact and encouraged self-reflection.

I'm so glad you mentioned at the end of your review who the intended audience is. Often, memoirs are self-serving and don't offer much to the reader. For people who are hesitating to take a chance on life, this story may help.
