Have you ever wondered how fishermen catch and sell their fish? What are the processes, and how do they run their business? What are the risks and gains of commercial fishing? LaBlance Fish Tales Two by Peter F. LaBlance is a story about the LaBlance family’s fishing business, dating back centuries. Written by Peter, a member of the LaBlance family, the book captures the experiences of these heroic fishermen.

The book begins with the history of the LaBlanc family, describing how they served as snow walkers with the job of transporting mail to ice-bound regions. It described how the LaBlance family started the commercial fishing business and how it became a family business, which has been passed on through generations. It also captures different memories from their fishing days from different members of the LaBlance family’s personal perspectives. They fished in Michigan until it became difficult to fish commercially due to regulations, and they had to move to Ontario, Canada. This book is a very expository book that describes the fishing business as a whole.

I enjoyed reading this book. I have always been fascinated by commercial fishing, and I was so glad to find a book that describes the business in depth. The book was written from personal experiences and memories, providing an honest and detailed narration of the events. I particularly loved the pictures and diagrams that gave a visual description of the events written in the book. I also loved how the events, especially fishing trips, were described in a vivid and detailed way, making the stories almost imaginable. It was a really intriguing read.

I did not dislike anything about the book, although a few fishing terminologies were not adequately explained in the book, making it slightly difficult for non-fishing-inclined readers to completely understand the narration. However, I was able to find their meanings in a dictionary, and hence it wasn’t a huge problem. I loved the author’s narrative writing style, which was warm with a touch of humor. I also found a few grammatical errors while reading the book, which slightly affected my reading experience. However, I greatly enjoyed the thrilling stories and experiences of the LaBlance family.

I rate this book five out of five stars for its excellent storytelling and amazing stories. The book was well edited, although I found a few errors while reading it. I recommend this book to individuals interested in the commercial fishing business. This is a very interesting and insightful read.
